Dump Cake
By far this is my most favorite cake from my mother’s recipe book. It is probably the easiest cake in the world to make! Even easier than making a boxed cake because you don’t need to mix anything.
Appliances/Tools:
- Oven
- Microwave
- 9″ x 13″ Pyrex baking dish
Ingredients:
- 1 Yellow Cake Boxed Mix
- 1 - 20 oz Can of Crushed Pineapple
- 1 - 21 oz Can of Cherry Pie Filling
- 1 - Stick of Butter
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In an ungreased 9″ x 13″ pan dump can of undrained crushed pineapple and spread evenly
- Dump in can of cherry pie filling and spread evenly
- Sprinkle dry boxed cake mix over fruit evenly
- Melt butter in a microwave safe dish for 45 seconds
- Drizzle melted butter over boxed cake mix
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown
This recipe is so simple to make, now you have no excuse not to bring a home baked cake to your next family gathering or pot-luck!
